Integrations

Bring your own sensors. Bring your own data.

Empyrean is integration-native and transport-agnostic. Open architecture, API-first design, and rapid adapter development mean you keep your existing sensors, feeds, and IP.

Your Situational Awareness is only as good as the data you can process, correlate, and act on. Most platforms force you to build and maintain your own Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) pipelines before a single track hits the map. Empyrean eliminates that burden entirely.

Underpinning the Decision Dominance Engine is a proprietary heterogeneous data fabric that maps every data source to a unified operational ontology - common interoperability schemas that preserve original semantic and operational meaning across domains, sensor types, and classification levels. Each Integration Connector handles ingest, validation, and normalization automatically, transforming raw sensor output into fused operational data the moment it arrives. Outbound translation is equally native: the platform produces ATAK Cursor-on-Target (CoT), MIL-STD-2525 track symbology, and any additional data model your downstream consumers require. The connectors are transport-agnostic. Serial bus, USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth, WiFi, TCP, MQTTS, gRPC, CoT over UDP, HTTPS, raw JSON, XML, custom binary protocols - if your sensor can emit bytes, Empyrean can ingest them.

Below are the 101 fully operational integrations, organized by domain. Click any card for technical details including connection method, data format, and which capability consumes it.

Dst Ring Current Index (WDC Kyoto)
What it eats:Hourly Dst values from wdc.kugi.kyoto-u.ac.jp in IAGA-2002 format. Real-time (quicklook), provisional, and final values. Also mirrored via NOAA SWPC geospace plots.
What it produces:Geomagnetic storm intensity indicator on the SDA dashboard. Storm phase identification (main phase, recovery). GPS degradation duration estimation. Satellite anomaly risk assessment during storm main phase (Dst < -100 nT).
Connection:HTTPS REST Pull (WDC Kyoto HTTP interface + SWPC mirror, hourly refresh)
Requirements:None. Free for scientific use. Contact WDC Kyoto before publication with quicklook data.
Dst < -50 nT indicates a moderate storm; < -100 nT is intense; < -250 nT is a super-storm. During main phase, GPS errors can exceed 10m and satellite electronics are at elevated risk. Recovery phase duration (hours to days) determines how long degradation persists.

Connection:HTTPS REST Pull (services.swpc.noaa.gov/products/solar-wind/, 1-minute polling)
Requirements:None. US government public domain, no API key.
DSCOVR at L1 is Earth's early warning system for geomagnetic storms. When a CME arrives at L1, you have 15-60 minutes before it hits Earth's magnetosphere. Southward IMF Bz < -10 nT sustained for >30 min almost guarantees a significant geomagnetic storm.
